PHAN Dinh Cong

Cong was born on the 01.06.1994

Cong is one of the three young deaf and mute people who asked to join the Peaceful Bamboo Family. They all could not find a vocational training elsewhere.

Cong and his two friends were all pupils at Thuan Thanh School, in the deaf and mute class, created and built by Eurasia.

They know most of the youngsters at the Peaceful Bamboo family and they help their more disabled friends.

With his charming smile and his many capacities, he is one of the pillars in his vocational training workshop.

With his deaf and mute friends they form an active and friendly team that brings a lot of life and joy to the community. They also teach us their deaf and mute language. Their capacity to become accomplished professionals increases the capacity to produce in a more professional way in our workshops.

We will do our best to prepare them for their future, help them to learn a profession that will enable them to become fully integrated in the society.

THAI Hoang Thao Ngan

Thao Ngan was born on the 14th Septembre 1993.

She comes from a modest family, but her gestures and her “style” are worthy of a princess.

And like most princesses, I guess, cleaning and housework, are not her favorite occupations.

Dancing, singing and performing are the activities she really likes.

At the Peaceful Bamboo Family, she learns about adult life and work. She likes to do embroidery, even if it is still difficult for her.

She learns a lot through community life as she has to adapt to eve needs and rhythm of every one.

She knows how to express her joys and her pains and her very romantic temperament is a great contribution to the life in the Peaceful Bamboo Family.

LE Xuan Lam

Lam was born on the 6th june 1992 .

He comes from a poor family.

At first sight he impresses people with his height and strength and his very imposing voice.

He always looks serious and sometimes one can think that he is upset, but usually this is not the case, he just has a loud way of speaking.

Sometimes he seems « lost in a dream », but usually he quickly comes back to reality.

His sensibility and his tender soul are hidden behind a rough first encounter.

His lacquer paintings are touching in their innocence and freshness.

He is a pillar of the Peaceful Bamboo Family.

He feels at home here. He feels responsible for the place, for the activities and for all the people who live here or who visit the community.

We can well imagine that Lam one day can work at the guest rooms. For him the Peaceful Bamboo Family is his home and work place.

LE Thi Diem May

May was born on the 6th february 1992.

She is the sunshine of the Peaceful Bamboo Family.

She comes from a modest family. It was mainly her father who looked after her at home, her mother works in the market.

May needs help in many daily activities-Certain physical malformation do not allow her to move freely, but her immense will power and joy of life help her to overcome these disabilities.

From morning till evening she smiles and she is always willing to work and join all activities of the community.

She is a very well developed emotional intelligence and she is always attentive to the well being of the other members of the community

May was a pupil at Thuan Thanh School one of the schools created and built by Eurasia.

She already knew most of the teachers and students of the Peaceful Bamboo Family before coming to live and work here.

This new phase helps her to grow and become more independent, to contribute to social life through learning a profession and being part of a comunity.

NGUYEN Van Tu

Tu was born on the 28th of April 1982.

He comes from a very poor family.

He is a very conscientious and meticulous worker.

He is a day student at the Peaceful Bamboo family. He comes every day by bicycle, by wind and rain and hot sun.

He is happy to have found a work place that respects his need for peace and protection, surrounded by the youngsters and educators of the Peaceful Bamboo Family.

Here he can relax and find friends.
